Counter Strike Source rocks my socks.

Some computer games live on for eternity. Why is that? The newest and most advanced (graphically) games out there are pretty sweet. They have awesome trailers and cool screen shots to get your lazy bum off your couch/office chair and to your nearest Best Buy, so you can shell out a good 50 bucks. I swear you guys I must be addicted to PC games because i spend WAY to much on em.

Ill bring my new toy home, grab a Monster outa the fridge, and play my brains out until my eyes are seconds away from popping out of their sockets.

The next day, I will play a few more hours. The day after that, a few......

One week later people, I bring home a new game and the other one gets left behind.

While all these sweet new games lose their fun factor quickly, a select few live on. One of the games I am talking about is Counter Strike Source. The graphics are not fancy at all, there is absolutely no depth other then who can shoot your head off the fastest ( and the occasional lucky grenade toss). Yet it is by far the most played game on my computer.

What makes CSS great, is the fact that I don't have to worry about which class I like best, how many kills I need until my next rank, or when to fire my super weapon ultra beam cannon onto the battlefield. None of that nonsense is in CSS, its just you and your K7 or Bullpup. Its the simplicity and the awesome replay value the online community provides that makes CSS so popular. I tell ya there is no better feeling in any game then crackin' off that perfect headshot a mile away, and there is no worse feeling in any game then when you get killed by someone with their combat knife.

Lucky for all of you, this is the first of many blog entries I will be making, and each one will rant about another PC game classic that has stood the test of time. Whats next you may wonder? All I have to say is that I love zerglings.

Peace
